Deceptively Delicious: Simple Secrets to Getting Your Kids Eating Good Food
Books
Written by Jennifer Redmond
Please, let’s forget that this book is written by a celebrity and that it has been touted by some big names. Those incidentals are not as crucial as the fact that Inspired Mother’s own Carol A.-a very astute, creative and more than a little particular mother with picky eaters-loves Jessica Seinfeld’s Deceptively Delicious: Simple Secrets to Getting Your Kids Eating Good Food (2007). As the title implies, it’s all about sneaking pureed veggies into foods kids like best.
The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch

This powerful lecture by dying Carnegie Mellon professor Randy Pausch is definitely worth sharing with your kids (tweens and older due to some language and the complexity of the topics). Little Lessons from Mom by Harriet Ziefert

Blue Apple Books states that its mission is “to produce picture books that resonate for both the child and the adult reader.” Actually, my mother gave me this little picture book and I will pass it on to my own daughter, so Little Lessons from Mom does, indeed, speak to just about everyone.
