Great Way to Relax

Every once in awhile, I come across something awesome that just doesn't fit into the traditional Inspired Mother format. Changing Tide, Kenny Carr's new jazz CD, is one of those gems. Moms, this is the perfect mellow-out music! Hosting dinner for friends? Enjoying a coveted date night? Have a few minutes in the car sans kids? Pop this into the CD player and I guarantee you'll love it. It's the ticket to instant relaxation. You just can't feel the nerves while listening to "Bossa Luna" or "Downstairs," two of my favorites.

I'm no expert, so I'll spare the lingo and leave that to the music critics. Just search the Internet reviews and it's clear that those who know jazz and blues recognize Carr's rare talent showcased with this particular release. After spending ten years as Ray Charles' guitarist, Carr released two prior albums-Turn the Page and Friday at Five.
