I'm sure all of you can identify with this often overlooked fact: Some of the best conversations occur at the front door. Parents picking up kids, neighbors stopping by, long goodbyes with friends after watching the big game--all are occasions for reconnecting.
After a long day there's nothing better than the respite these unplanned opportunities afford. Such was the case last night when a neighbor and her little girl stopped by. We chatted and laughed, my kids came and went and our furry family pet got involved. What a great ending to a not-so-perfect day! I look at these moments as little gifts from God designed to push me along. Oh...and for those new parents out there this lovely lady shared the secret for getting crayon "art" off walls....Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser! Oh, how I wish this little gem of a product had been around when my darling drew green lines all over my newly wallpapered dining room years ago!
