Sharing Thanksgiving
Inspiration
By Jen Redmond
Thanksgiving is really a season. Sure, on Thanksgiving Day we in the United States gather with family and friends for the traditional turkey feast. I Started Over, Alone
I packed a gerbil and fish behind the cab of the truck insulated with a towel;
I packed light bulbs and Q-tips®, too many for one household;
I packed paintings and paint with aspirations of using both;
I said goodbye and left no trace;
In the season of renewal, I started over alone.

Grandmother
Inspiration
By Kathleen Wade
I was born long after my grandmother died, so I did not know her personally, I'm sorry to say. But I came to love her through the stories my father and his siblings told about her, and she has always been an inspiration to me. I offer this poem as a "snapshot" of my grandmother, who wove her fierceness, nurturance and playfulness into a complicated blend of Inspired Mother.
