Career
We are living in tough economic times that challenge our career plans as well as our wallets. It's natural to dig in your heels and think only of survival. Hang on to the job you have. The devil you know (and maybe hate) is better than no devil at all, right?
At the risk of sounding like Miss Merry Sunshine, I truly believe that this can be a great time for working moms to sit back and get very clear on your career goals- and how you plan to get there. Imagine if you put more clarity around what you really rock at, what you are better at than anyone AND (gasp) actually found a way to do more of it? Wouldn't "more of it" make you happier? More effective? More productive? More valuable to any employer? And isn't that we we all want, all the time?
There is a lot of panic and fear in the career market right now and it's easy to march in step with all of it. What can you do today to swim against that tide, to come out stronger and better on the other side?
